The Challenge
John Holland engaged Modcast after being let down by other suppliers, on a project already well progressed. That left a very short window to develop drawings, build new custom moulds and cast six structures to strict rail occupation dates — including our largest units ever cast, at up to 44 tonnes.
Our Approach
We deployed additional resources to rapidly build our biggest culvert mould yet, and introduced reinforcing-jig innovations to lift output and meet the program's demands.
The Outcome
All structures delivered on time for installation in critical rail shuts on a nation-building project.
