The Challenge
Four culvert structures on busy arterial roads serving local schools needed to be installed inside the narrow window of school holidays. The design also deviated from standard DTP details, requiring close coordination to secure approval.
Our Approach
Working alongside the contractor from their ECI phase, we developed an innovative precast base solution and took a flexible design approach — Modcast designed and certified the RCBC box culvert elements while using the client's engineering partner's design for the base slabs. Manufacture followed strict DTP standards, including client inspections and hold points throughout.
The Outcome
All four structures designed, manufactured and delivered, supporting the contractor's innovative fast-track installation methodology.
